Library Committee plays an advisory and advocacy role regarding the Library on matters of general policy, planning, programs, goals, and objectives in its support of teaching, learning, research and community‐building needs of the College.
Objectives of Library Committee

To advise the library on policy matters concerning services, resources and facilities.

To discuss and evaluate budgetary issues for books, journals, databases, media, e-resources etc.

The committee also looks into students complains, if any

To support research activity for its progress and qualitative development

To adopt measures to enhance readership.
Library Profile

The Library and Information Centre of the institution has been functioning since the inception of the college in the year 2006. At present it is housed in the 6th floor of the college building. Being in the top floor of the building, it has highly ventilated with natural breeze and sunlight. Library has all the basic amenities like drinking water, scanning & printing, photocopying facility, display boards, uninterrupted power supply, Internet and A/C for Digital Library.

As a hub of the institution Library and Information Centre play a pivotal role to meet and fulfill the ever changing needs of the patrons by providing access to the Information needs related to Dentistry & Oral Sciences. Main objective of the library is to improve the quality of resources and services so as to enhance and uphold the academic development of the institution globally.
Functioning Hours

Library and Information Centre is functioning on all the week days from 09.00 A.M. to 09.00 P.M.

Sundays and General holidays from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M.

There is no time restriction for the Circulation Counter.

Extra library hours at the time of examination.
COLLECTIONS

New Books and latest editions are added every year as per the recommendations received from faculty and students.

There are 56 journals (National & International) that are subscribed to the Library.

Most of the Journals are activated for online access.
-
Library holds most of the back volumes of Journals from more than 10 years.
-
Other than this Library holds good number of Book CDs, DVDs, and P.G. Dissertations.

ICT INFRASTRUCTURE:

The housekeeping functions of the library are automated with RFID facility using KOHA software.

The library is attached with digital Library section and audiovisual section wherein facilities like internet, Photostat, printing facility etc.
